A case of Scrub Encephalopathy

Abstract
Acute onset fever with altered sensorium is labelled by WHO as acute encephalitis syndrome.1 There are many causes of such presentation such as bacterial, viral,parasitic, autoimmune, metabolic etc. Most of the cases neurotropic viruses are agents for CNS infection. We report a case of scrub typhus as a cause of acute encephalitic syndrome.
