A New Approach To Chip Breaking Application In Turning Operation Using Variable Feed Rates
Journal Title: Cumhuriyet Science journal - Year 2017, Vol 38, Issue 4
Abstract
In machining operations, especially turning operations, there are many factors that determine process efficiency and product quality. Factors such as cutting forces, cutting zone temperatures, tool wear, chip morphology are the basic elements that monitored in the development of machining applications. One of the problems encountered during machining of materials commonly used by the aerospace industry, such as Super Alloy, Titanium, Aluminum, is long and continuous chip formation. A new methodology has been proposed in this study. In this methodology, low frequency vibrations are used for chip breaking. In this study, it is explained that it is possible to break the chip by using the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) program within certain limits without using an external device or chip breaker form insert.

Effects of Cerium, Iron and Copper Incorporation on the Structural Properties and Activities of Ti-Pillared Bentonites
Ti-pillared bentonite (Ti-PB) using bentonite from the Middle Anatolia region (Hançılı) was synthesized. Iron or copper was impregnated to Ti-PB from the solution and subsequent cerium incorporation was done by wet impre...
Ambarzumyan Type Theorems for a Class of Sturm-Liouville Problem
In this paper, we prove Ambarzumyan type theorems for an impulsive Sturm–Liouville problem with eigenparameter in the boundary conditions.
Intersub-band Second Order Nonlinear Transitions in Asymmetric Double Delta-Doped GaAs Structures
In this study, second order harmonic generation (SHG) coefficient in asymmetric double delta doped wells (ADQW) were investigated for a uniform doping distribution model. The electronic properties of GaAs structure with...
Simulation by Geant4 of hadrontherapy beam line
Hadrontherapy represents a pioneer technique, and only few centers worldwide can provide this advanced and specialized cancer treatment. Geant4 (GEometry ANd Tracking 4) is a C++, free and open toolkit that used to simul...
Forecasting of Ra(226), Th(232) and U(238) Concentrations using Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs)
Identification and modeling of radioactive concentrations in a region is very important for the region in terms of radiological hazards. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) can successfully model large systems. The validity...
