A New Configuration for Cast Bearing Support from the Work Roll as Part of a Thick Sheet Rolling Mill
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2011, Vol 34, Issue 2
Abstract
In this work is made an optimization of configuration for casting bearing support of backup rolls, with Finite Element Method. This program is used for configuration of parts or subassemblies realized from cast iron. The deformation and displacement of bearing support are configured by using the “Finite Elements Method”. In this study is shown too, an approval on the behavior of bearing support material (hardness, resistance and elongation).

Experimental Results at Modeling of the Flow and Deformation Fields at the Profiles Rolling
This paper presents the results for modeling of the rolling process based at the deformable continuous medium mechanics, the theory of field lines. The rolling of the profiles and plates may be evaluated as the plane str...
Method and Procedure for Checking the Accuracy of the Scan-Indexing System of the NDTUT Equipment for Immersion Technique
This paper deals with the proposal of a method and procedure to verify the accuracy of the scanning-indexing system of the NDT-UT facility for immersion technique, using comparison with a plate of aluminum alloy plate, p...
Conductive-Atomic Force Microscopy Investigation of the Electrical Properties of Low Temperature Deposed ZnO Transparent Thin Films
The paper presents the investigation by conductive-atomic force microscopy (C-AFM) of the variation of the local conductivity and topography of the transparent ZnO thin films deposed onto soda lima glass substrates by sp...
Anodization Treatment of Ti6Al4V in Electrolytes Containing HF
The Ti6Al4V alloy is already well-known likely material for implant applications. As well as pure titanium, Ti6Al4V alloy possess the ability to form spontaneously a thin passive oxide layer on the surface. This oxide la...
Surface Hardening by Nitration for Some Stainless Austenite Steel Types
Stainless austenite steel types have a good resistance to corrosion in different natural, industrial environments but their hardness and mechanical resistance are low enough. In order to assure an increased resistance to...
