Journal Title: REVISTA CHILENA DE ENTOMOLOGÍA - Year 2022, Vol 48, Issue 3

Abstract

new species of Goloboffia Griswold & Ledford, 2001 is described and illustrated, based on adult specimens of both sexes. Goloboffia gonzalezi sp. nov. differs from the other species of the genus by the morphology of the copulatory bulb of the male and by the spermatheca of the female. This new species represents the northernmost record for the genus in the country. This taxon is characterized by having specific environmental requirements that make them exclusive to certain microhabitats, turning them species sensitive to environmental and/or habitat changes.
