Abstract
(Representation of Women in the Nőileg Magazine) Certainly not manyof us, have seen or kept in their hands the Nőileg magazine. In my perspective it was a good idea to create a Transylvanian Hungarian women’s magazine, because the Hungarian publications available in Transylvania did not really deal with Transylvanian subjects or personalities at all. The aim of my research is to formulate the Hungarian female ideal of Transylvania on the basis of the pictures and articles of the Nőileg magazine. The image of the ideal woman will be researched from three diff erent angles:female images based on the cover pictures, female images based on the pictures in the magazine and female images as represented in the articles. The aim of the research is to decide wether Nőileg fi ts within the frames of a glossy magayine or not.
