In our study, 64% of cervical injury cases were caused by road traffic accident (RTA) cases. 77% of the population had direct impact on the cervical region at the time of incident while only 23% suffered from cervical injury due to indirect impact or transmitted force. 2% cases were exclusive of spinal cord injury while 20% of the cases had only spinal column (vertebra) involvement and the remaining 78% had both cord and column injury.
