Results:- The mean Hb, RBC count, Platelet count, PCV, MCHC, Total Protein and Albumin were significantly decreased while the mean MCV, TLC, Absolute neutrophil and lymphocyte count, Total and Direct Bilirubin, Liver enzymes and Derritis ratio were significantly increased in ALD patients (‘P’ value < 0.05). There were no significant changes in Lipid profile and Renal Function Test parameters. There were no significant differences (‘P’ > 0.05) in the parameters in relation to the duration they taking alcohol. There was a highly significant correlation between duration of the cases’ alcohol intake and their CAGE questionnaire score (‘P’ value < 0.01).
