A REVIEW ARTICLE ON SIGNIFICANCE OF SAMSARJANA KRAMÃ AS PÃSCHÃT KARMÃ

Abstract
Panchākarma is the highly preferred therapeutic modality to cure any disease with least possibility of recurrence. Panchā karma is always performed in three phases – Pūrva karma (preparatory procedures), Pradhāna karma (main procedures) and Paścāt karma(post-operative procedures). Paścāt karma includes Samsarjana karma, Rasāyanādi karma and Śamana prayoga. When samyak śuddi occurs samsarjana krama may be started on the same day. Types of Samsarjana Krama. Peyādi Samsarjana Krama, Tarpanādi Krama, Rasā Samsarjana Krama Mamsa rasādi karma. Samsarjana karma helps to restore health after Śamśodhana karma. Peyādi karma after Śodhana karma helps in satisfying the hunger soon and gradually increases the Agni.
