A REVİEW OF ORGANIC PRODUCTION AND MARKETING ISSUES

Abstract

The ecological destruction arising from the increased use of chemical inputs due to the rapid population growth and increasing food demand has caused increasing demand for organic products. The main reason for this is that organic production is an alternative form of production targeting not only quantity increase but also production of quality and healthy pro-ducts unlike conventional agriculture. Since it cannot be aimed to decrease the supply of or-ganic products, the main motivation should be the monitoring of policies to increase the de-mand. In this regard, organic product producers should be able to influence market demands with suitable marketing efforts. The aim of this study is to explain organic production concep-tually and to propose solutions by addressing the problems in the related market.
