A Review on Stabilization of Indian Soils for Road Construction by Using Jute Fiber

Abstract

Jute is an environmental-friendly material used for improving characteristics of soils which are being extensively used in civil engineering applications rural road construction, stabilization of embankments, erosion control at river banks etc. The present article focuses on use of Jute in the soil stabilization thus utilizing it in civil engineering applications via reference to published scientific data thereby providing directions for future research in Indian context. On other words, this paper highlights how jute has been used in Indian soils as reinforcement in various projects.
