A SOCIALIST NOVEL: KARAGANDI

Abstract
The novel, Karagandı written by G. Mustafin, is of importance for evaluating in terms of Kazakh literature and sociology. The novel deals with the impact of socialism on Kazakh people, the richness it provides and the benefits it brings in their life. In the novel those who support socialist reality are portrayed positively. On the contrary, those who reject socialist way of thinking are portrayed negatively. In the novel, the plot is foregrounded prior to the inner world of the characters.
