A Survey of Emergency Preparedness
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2015, Vol 6, Issue 7
Abstract
Emergency preparedness is a discipline that harnesses technology, citizens, and government agencies to handle and potentially avoid natural disasters and emergencies. In this paper, a survey of the use of information technology, including social media, in emergency preparedness is presented. In addition, the current direction of research is identified, and future trends are forecasted that will lead to more effective and efficient methods of preparing for and responding to disasters.

Performance Analysis of Machine Learning Algorithms for Missing Value Imputation
Data mining requires a pre-processing task in which the data are prepared, cleaned, integrated, transformed, reduced and discretized for ensuring the quality. Missing values is a universal problem in many research domain...
Quantifiable Analysis of Energy Efficient Clustering Heuristic
One of the important aspects of MANET is the restraint of quantity of available energy in the network nodes that is the most critical factor in the operation of these networks. The tremendous amount of energy using the m...
Wavelet Time-frequency Analysis of Electro-encephalogram (EEG) Processing
This paper proposes time-frequency analysis of EEG spectrum and wavelet analysis in EEG de-noising. In this paper, the basic idea is to use the characteristics of multi-scale multi-resolution, using four different...
