A Survey of Machine Learning Algorithm in Network Traffic Classification
Journal Title: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF COMPUTER TRENDS & TECHNOLOGY - Year 2014, Vol 9, Issue 6
Abstract
Network Traffic Classification is an emerging research area and now a day the research is widely used in various activities such as intrusion detection system and for security purpose. Many of the protocols and proposed application have been investigated and developed by using machine learning algorithms. We also focused on traditional and statistical methods. The previous used techniques and recent techniques have been compared using machine learning. In this paper the survey of different machine learning techniques are done and I identify better techniques to improve the performance.

Defending wireless sensor network using Randomized Routing
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) challenges in the transmission of data are its network traffic and network security. Another issue in sensor network is Compromised node and Denial -of -service attack (DOS).Multipath Routin...
Improving Routing Performance by Using Neighbor Coverage Knowledge and Energy Aware Metric in Mobile Adhoc Networks
A mobile adhoc network is an independent collection of mobile nodes without having the fixed infrastructure. In the mobile adhoc networks, because of the high mobility of the nodes there is frequent link breakage that ca...
MIMO Schemes With Spatial Modulation in Wireless Communication
The combination of spatial modulation (SM) and space-time block coding (STBC) provides more advantages than other modulation techniques. In the MA-SM system, the transmitted symbols are mapped into a high dimensional con...
