Abstract
Informaţia este acum mai uşor şi mai rapid de a fi obţinută decât oricând înainte, datorită Internetului, „de înaltă calitate”. Mediul de investiţii pe Internet favorizează o supraevaluare a acestuia. Cu cât un utilizator achiziţionează mai multe informaţii, cu atât încrederea în capacitatea de a prezice trendul unei acţiuni economice se ridică mult mai repede decât capacitatea reală de previzionare a utilizatorului. Investitorii online au acces la cantităţi vaste de date şi informaţii care nu reprezintă implicit şi cunoaşterea mediului economic. În fapt, utilizatorul având în posesie o mulţime de date, i se oferă iluzia de a deţine cunoştinţele economice şi ideea de a deţine controlul. Datele respective pot oferi o încredere falsă că investitorul respectiv poate face o selecţie corectă a activelor financiare.
