ABOUT DISYLLABIC AND TRISYLLABIC RHYTHMS IN UKRAINIAN NON-CLASSIC VERSE IN COMPARISON WITH RUSSIAN
Journal Title: Наукові праці. Серія "Філологія. Літературознавство" - Year 2016, Vol 276, Issue 264
Abstract
The article deals with the debatable question of genesis of Ukrainian non-classic metres, their national peculiarities and func-tioning in Ukrainian poetry at the edge of the 20th – 21st centuries in comparison with the verse in other national literatures, first of all in Russian. The object of the research is tonic metres – dolnik metre and taktovik metre – which made the basis to investigate the problem of peculiar combination and mixture of disyllabic (i.e. iambic and trochaic) and trisyllabic (dactylic, amphibrachic, ana-paest accordingly) rhythms in the Ukrainian poetry of the above-mentioned period, that is the phenomenon of verse micropolymetry. As the researcher believes such manifestation of verse micropolymetry in Ukrainian non-classic verse is connected with the rhythmic structure of a Ukrainian word with an average size which is more than disyllabic and less than trisyllabic word (2.6–2.7 syllables); two-syllable parts and three-syllable parts of the rhythm are inherent in the Ukrainian verse prosody. These questions require further and many-sided analysis.
