About the indentation of a П-shaped rigid punch into half plane, taking into account both sliding and adhesion friction forces

Abstract

The contact problem of elasticity theory about the indentation of a П-shaped rigid punch into elastic half plane is considered. It is supposed that a both sliding and adhesion friction forces acts in the contact zone. The problem was solved by the method of mechanical quadratures. The distribution of contact stresses and the length of sliding areas were found.
