Acervos escolares: espaço de salvaguarda e preservação do patrimônio educativo

Abstract
The authors emphasize the great challenges related to digging, conservation and care of documents that in many different ways deal with the reality in schools. Document, according to Le Goff, first and foremost is the result of an assembly (consciously or not) of a given society, which removes, maintains, preserves and handles, even by silence. Therefore, this study dialogues with history, museology and related areas, under the theoretical support of authors such as Le Goff, Ginzburg, Pesez, Vina, Julia, Meneses, Bruno, Chagas and Cury. Topics discussed include the importance of a public policy for preservation of collections, the conservation and cataloging of these documents, and their nature and potential for research in the field of education.
