ACTIVITIES AND FINANCIAL SITUATION OF FARM COMPANY JUCHOWO – THE SOCIAL ENTERPRISE IN RURAL AREAS

Abstract

The article discusses the activities of Farm Company Juchowo and includes an assessment of its financial situation. This company is an example of a social enterprise. Presented farm in Juchowo is run by the Stanisław Karłowski Foundation, but in the period of socialism, the land belonged to state farms. The Farm Company Juchowo from the beginning of the existence implements the principles of sustainable agriculture and organic farming, leads education, scientific and pedagogical programs. Moreover, the company organizes and promotes social and professional integration of people with disabilities. Its activities in rural areas experiencing long-term socio-economic stagnation fits in the ideas of social economy. The Foundation implements the village project, of which the goal is to create local agriculture using biodynamic farming, and provides financial support for activities of the company in Juchowo.<br/><br/>
