ACTIVITY ANALYSIS, DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVES AND DECENTRALIZATION ADVISABILITY OF VOLKSWAGEN

Abstract
The analysis of the dynamics of the main financial indices and SWOT-analysis of the company “Volkswagen” was carried out in the article to determine the appropriateness of the decentralization. We analysed the strengths and weaknesses of the company, as well as external factors – threats and opportunities for the development of Volkswagen. As a result, it was established that despite the “diesel scandal”, which spoiled the reputation of the brand, the company managed to retain its positions in the market. Thanks to its advantage, Volkswagen can compensate for its weaknesses. However, decentralization will concentrate its efforts on the most principled areas of activity and ensure a clear management of the brand.
