ADVANCING THE TOURISM INDUSTRY IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract
This article provides an in-depth analysis of the current state of development of the tourism sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan, its existing opportunities and emerging problems. Tourism is considered one of the important sectors of the country’s economy, and its development is shown to create new jobs, improve the infrastructure of the regions, and strengthen the country’s image in the international arena. It also provides information on the positive changes that have occurred in the tourism sector based on the decisions, programs, and reforms adopted by the President and the Government in recent years.
