Amended method for determining phosphorus pentachloride in workplace air

Abstract
The method is used for determining phosphorus pentachloride in workplace air. It is based on the absorption of phosphorus pentachloride in water, hydrolysis to orthophosphoric acid, reaction with ammonium molybdate and ascorbic acid. The re-sulting blue complex compound is analysed with spectrophotometry in the visible region.The determination limit of the method is approximately 0.07 mg/m[sup]3[/sup]The developed method of determining phospho-rus pentachloride has been recorded as an analytical procedure, which is available in the Appendix.
