An Analysis of Factors of the Agrarian Sector Development in the Context of National Food Security

Abstract
The current direction of agricultural sector in the context of food security due to the basic needs of the population in lifesaving food, demographic processes in the economy, socio-economic condition of the country, globalization trends in the world economy. Prominent ukrainian scientists P. Sabluk, V. Vlasov, A. Hoychuk, V. Oliynyk, N. Danik dedicated their work to the problems of agrarian sphere. N. Danik says that the importance of the agricultural sector driven by the objective reality – the existence of human needs in food products and essentials. N. Danik notes that the main problems of the agricultural sector are the following factors: the absence of sufficient scientific justification for economic reforms, a powerful influence on agricultural products market economy neighboring european states, which reduces the competitiveness of domestic producers on the domestic market. N. Clima and S. Lyashuk distinguish the following problems of the agricultural sector: imperfection logistics storage and the consequent significant loss of production; outdated equipment, machinery, leading to the risk of increasing production costs; incomplete adaptation of domestic products to international market conditions and a certain inadequacy on the quality and safety of raw foods. In addition to the aforementioned negative impacts on food security the main threats to food security of Ukraine are unbalanced food consumption by the public; low consumption of animal products in the energy diet of the population; a high proportion of household spending on food in the structure of public expenditure; the high cost of food for the differentiation of social groups; low capacity of the domestic market for individual food; higher prices for agricultural products on the internal market. According to the examined problems of the agricultural sector in the context of food security in today's market conditions and the factors influencing the level of food security we will form the basic requirements for the development directions of agricultural sector in the context of food security in the current market conditions: taking into account the globalization processes in the development of mechanisms of development of agrarian sphere of economy; improving the competitiveness of agricultural products in international markets; ensure compliance with international standards for the certification of agricultural products; creation of a mechanism to ensure access of agricultural producers to modern technology.
