Abstract
Józef Glinkiewicz (1845–1905) was an editor, journalist, man of letters and translator living in the Prussian partition. As an editor in charge of the daily “Gazeta Toruńska” he was the subject of several lawsuits, in which he was fined and sentenced to two years of prison. Faced with this prospect, he left Germany in July 1875 and moved to Vienna, where he worked as an editor until his death
