Analisis Unjuk Kerja Horizontal Handover Mobile Wimax Mendukung Layanan Mobile TV

Abstract
IEEE 802.16e-2005 mobile WiMAX technology is one alternative that can deliver 15 Mbps datarate better than 3G, WLAN, and others. Mobile WiMAX also provides wide area coverage. Therefore, WiMAX capable of providing a wide range of multimedia applications such as VoIP, IPTV, video conferencing. and other real-time applications. In addition, Mobile WiMAX also supports mobility in portable, mobile and nomadic. IPTV is currently appearing on the mobile phone, mobile TV called IPTV service which will be accessible on the move. It requires a technology that supports mobility but still be able to receive IPTV services well. Mobile WiMAX technology is the ideal technology to support IPTV services, especially for users who are moving. As a result of the user moving the user enables the handover. This study analyzes the performance parameters that affect the current mobile TV users to handover the mobile WiMAX networks such as jitter, end to end delay, throughput, delay handover scenario the difference in speed and changes in the number of users in the coverage area. Based on simulation results for scenario difference in speed (up to 100 km / h) values obtained end to end delay of 23,234 ms, jitter of 0,047 ms, throughput amounted to 637. 723 Kbps. While the number of user scenarios that the value of end to end delay of 27.218 ms, 0,057 ms of jitter and throughput amounted to 558 881 Kbps. The results from both scenarios show that the speed and the number of users increases, the quality of service parameters down but still qualified quality Mobile TV service (IPTV).
