Analysis of risks of the introduction of technologies of open programming interfaces in banking

Abstract
The introduction of open programming interfaces in banking has gained increasing importance in recent years, as this technology allows to automate several business processes, increase the amount of data processed and qualitatively change the customer service model. The nature and type of financial data to be transmitted, as well as the existing political environment, impose significant obligations on the participants in the information exchange and require scrutiny by the regulator. The Central Bank of Russia has already developed a Concept for the introduction of open programming interfaces in the financial market, and standards for information exchange between players are currently being developed and refined. Based on the theoretical basis, regulatory requirements and experience of implementation of open programming interface technologies in Russian banks, the article analyzes the prerequisites of digital transformation of banks and transition to open software interface technology, the principles of technology are analyzed and the advantages and prospective directions of its introduction into Russian banks are studied, possible risks in the implementation of the technology are formulated and evaluated, a risk matrix is compiled. In conclusion, the article based on analysis of the risk matrix, examples of existing solutions in the Russian market, proposes directions for minimization.
