ANALYSIS OF THE CAPITAL STRUCTURE OF BANKS OF UKRAINE FOR THE PERIOD 2014 2016

Abstract
Purpose – the research of modern trends in the development of banking capital, analysis of its structure, sufficiency and problems identification, associated with the increase of the capital base of Ukrainian banks. Methodology of research. During the research the following methods were used: monographic – in a comprehensive and in-depth study of the processes of clearing the banking sector in Ukraine; empirical – at a research of the phenomena in the state economy and the available climate for attracting capital; economy-statistical – in a detailed review of activity indicators of Ukrainian banks; theoretical generalization – when processing already collected data; comparing which in synthesis with above-mentioned methods became the basis for determining trends of capitalization level changes of the banking sector in Ukraine; tabular – for visual representation of the presented data; abstract-logical – for theoretical generalizations, establishment of the cause-effect relationships and forming of conclusions and proposals. Findings. The state of the banking system of Ukraine was researched. The results of clearing the banking sector were summarized. The dynamics and structure of bank’s capital were analyzed, the influence of macroeconomic factors on the level change of the banking institutions capitalization was made. The existing problems were identified and the suggestions for their solution were given. Originality. The trends in the development of banking capital in recent years, its condition and current problems of capitalization of Ukrainian banks were concluded. The direction for development is proposed, which should be given special attention in order to contribute to the increase of the capital base. Practical value. The obtained results of the study in the form of proposals and recommendations can be used by banking institutions in setting the policy of the banks activities and in choosing tools to increase capitalization.
