Analysis of velocity profile geometry of laminar flow in a digonal duct
Journal Title: Вентиляція, освітлення та теплогазопостачання - Year 2016, Vol 19, Issue
Abstract
A velocity profile of stabilized laminar flow in digonal duct is analysed. The influence of axes length ratio on the Darcy coefficient is determined. When the ratio decreases the profile takes the saddle-like shape near to the digon vertexes with velocity gradient decrease. So the tangential tensions decreases that cause lower values of the Darcy coefficient. But in this case the specific pressure loss by the length increase at constant section area and flow rate

Optimization of the Parameters of the Heat Network Under a Reduced Temperature Schedule
The economic and environmental problems of Ukraine lead to decrease the water temperature in heat supply systems. Increasing the cost of fuel made it inappropriate to schedule temperature 95/70. To switch to a lower temp...
Comparative Exergy Analysis of Microclimate Support Devices in Office Premises
Thanks to modern thermodynamic methods of researching technical systems using exergy analysis, it becomes possible to correctly estimate the energy efficiency indicators of air conditioning systems. This paper presents t...
Experimental Studies оf Drying Processes of Medicinal Herbs
In recent years, there has been a trend of increasing consumer demand for natural health remedies. Most medicinal herbs are used in medicine and other industries in the dried form. Due to this, there is a problem of the...
Simulation of Solid-Fuel Hybrid Combustion
Solid-fuel utilization in the public energy service is necessary for national supply-demand balance stability. The most efficient combustion process is the hybrid combustion, particularly the three-staged one: combinatio...
