Abstract
The paper highlights the historical and architectural values of anatomical building of Danylo Halytskyy Lviv National Medical University. The work presents the information connected to the life and professional work of architect Jozef Braunseis. The author described the infl uence of his work on the formation of the architectural environment of Lviv in the period of 1865-1899 and, in particular, on the development of scientifi c and medical institutions. In addition, the work introduces the infl uence of professors of the medical university on the development of medical education.
