APHORISTICS AS IS THE REFLECTION OF THE LIFE PHILOSOPHY IN THE DIARIES OF 1856—1858 BY ST. JOHN OF KRONSTADT

Abstract
The article is devoted to functions of aphoristic units in the diaries of St. John of Kronshtadt (Sergiev) in 1856—1858. The author emphasizes the ability of aphorisms to represent the mental values of the author in diaries. The thematic classification of aphoristic units is given which can be divided into two great groups: one characterizing «temporal» and the other characterizing «spiritual» elements in the author’s language worldview. The detailed analysis of aphorisms from three topical groups actual for St. John of Kronshtadt are subjected in the article. Thus, the author considers aphorisms about human passions, model of ideal priest, correlation of human and divine elements in man’s nature. Аctive using tropes are explained their cognitive features and their prolong activity abilities. One of the main syntactic features of aphorisms of St. John’s of Kronshtadt diary is their involving into complex syntactical units. In the complex syntactical units some main topics develop due to using aphorisms, which have leitmotiv repetition of key images, lexical units and etc. in their structure. The complex syntactical units can consist from three to nine aphorisms in the structure.
