APPLICATION OF MONTE CARLO SIMULATION FOR THE EVALUATION OF MEASUREMENTS UNCERTAINTY
Journal Title: Metrology and Measurement Systems - Year 2008, Vol 15, Issue 1
Abstract
The Monte Carlo procedure for evaluation of uncertainty in measurements is considered. Algorithms of formation correlation and non correlation data files of the input quantity estimated on types A and B are developed.

THE TRANSPORTATION DISTANCE FOR FUZZY DESCRIPTIONS OF MEASUREMENTS
Fuzzy nominal scales were introduced in order to propose a formalism to the representation of empirical quantities by fuzzy subsets of words. This scale proposes a similarity relation and an associated bounded distance t...
SIMULATION OF VORTEX STREET DEVELOPMENT USING MODEL WITH MODIFICATIONS
Two modifications of the analytical model of the vortex street development described in [1] have been proposed and simulated. The first one takes into consideration the movement of the stagnation region accordingly to vo...
CONGRESS OF METROLOGY 2007
From 9 to13 September 2007, at the AGH University of Science and Technology, there took place the undoubtedly most important metrological conference, i.e. The Congress of Metrology ‘2007. Metrological congresses are held...
ON IMPROVEMENT OF SAMPLING TECHNIQUE DESIGNED FOR PRECISE ROOT MEAN SQUARE MEASUREMENTS
A method for precise root mean square (RMS) measurement of periodic signals based on signal reconstruction is analysed. The RMS value of a signal under test is determined in three steps. In the first step, the Fourier co...
CHARACTERIZATION OF DEAD WEIGHT TESTERS AND COMPUTATION OF ASSOCIATED UNCERTAINTIES: A CASE STUDY OF CONTEMPORARY TECHNIQUES
Estimation of uncertainty associated with pressure, measured by a dead weight tester is a key issue of recent times in pressure metrology. Though two different techniques have been used in the past yet there has been lit...
