Journal Title: Eye Science (Yanke Xuebao) - Year 2020, Vol 35, Issue 6
Abstract
[Objective:] To understand the specific application of Teach back mode in health education for patients with penetrating eye injury, and to discuss the application value of Teach back mode in health education for patients with penetrating eye injury. [Methods:] From August 2019 to January 2020, 50 patients with penetrating eye injuries admitted to Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center were selected and randomly divided into the control and experimental groups, with 25 patients in each group. The routine health education was given in the control group, and Teach back model health education was delivered in the experimental group. The nursing satisfaction and health knowledge were compared between two groups. [Results:] The nursing satisfaction and health knowledge of the patients with penetrating eyeball injury in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group (P<0.05). [Conclusion:] Applying the Teach back model in the health education of patients with penetrating eye injuries can effectively improve the nursing satisfaction, allow patients to master more relevant health knowledge, and improve the nursing effect.
