APPROACH TO THE ASSESMENT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF OIL AND GAS SECTOR COMPANIES

Abstract
In the article an approach to assessing the level of sustainable development of companies in the oil and gas sector is given. As one of the instruments for assessing the level of sustainable development of companies in the oil and gas sector, it is proposed to use the Environmental, Health and Safety Policy (EHS). The level of application of this policy can serve as a proxy for assessing the level of sustainable development of companies, because these three components are crucial for the sustainable development of companies in the oil and gas sector. The challenging issues of the EHS policies of the oil and gas sector companies are identified and appropriate ways of their solution are proposed.
