Aprovechamiento de la energía eólica en ambientes urbanos

Abstract
This article presents the use of a mixed integer nonlinear programming model (PNLEM) for the optimal operation of the microgrid with the purpose of observing the contribution of the integration of wind energy in urban environments. For this, the parameterization of the wind variables in atmospheric and geographic conditions of the study site was done, using the Weibull distribution. The study analyzes a real case of a microgrid composed of residential and commercial loads of a small building in the city of Cuenca. Employment of wind energy in cities includes benefits to mitigate problems in the distribution network such as energy losses and decrease of external energy consumption using specific optimization functions.
