APUNTES SOBRE LAS HUMANIDADES Y LA FILOSOFÍA COMO DISCIPLINA HUMANÍSTICA

Abstract
The article is a report that discusses the place of humanistic disciplines in the present configuration of knowledge. In opposition to the official view of the academic institutions that tend to shift the projection of the humanistic knowledge into the private sphere, thus justifying the cuts of the public investment in these matters, the report defends the issue that the humanistic disciplines such as philosophy, history, philology, and the arts, are mainly essential in the construction of a person and the citizens; so they have an undeniable public projection. In addition, the report briefly reflects on the object and method of philosophy as a humanistic discipline in the present.
