Assessment of the level of human capital development in Ukraine in the context of globalization

Abstract
The article considers the essence of human capital as one of the determining factors of the socio-economic development of Ukraine. The main features of the formation and development of human capital are presented. Attention is focused on the need to invest in human capital, namely in education, health, spiritual and physical development, mobility, etc. The level of development of the human capital of Ukraine in the context of globalization was analyzed by the main indicators used to determine the human development index and the human capital index: GDP per capita, life expectancy at birth, level of education. The study provided an assessment of the ranking of Ukraine among other countries of the world according to the UN Development Program and the World Economic Forum. It has been determined that Ukraine has significant reserves for the development of human capital, which needs institutional reforms at both the macro and micro levels in the socio-economic sphere. A set of measures to improve the efficiency of use and development of the human capital of Ukraine in the context of globalization is proposed.
