Abstract
Financial Times and Business Week have assumed that India is poised to overtake US and China by the year 2025 in terms of GDP growth. India with a population of 1.3 Billion 1/6 of the world’s population, is the ultimate destination of ‘Idea Merchants’. Brand positioners have hit a goldmine in ever-increasing huge market of 300 million plus middle class to reach out. The new found economic prosperity is credited to ICT revolution. Internet marketing ties with creative and technical aspects of the internet, including design, development, advertising and sales. Internet marketing is the way of growing and promoting an organization’s products using online media. Internet marketing does not mean just 'building a website' or 'promoting a website'. Somewhere behind there exist a website, a real organization with real goals. Internet marketing strategy includes all aspects of online advertising products, services, and websites, including market research, e-mail marketing, and direct sales.
