Audiodescription and glottodidactics in the education of students with disabilities

Abstract
Usually discussion on the education of people with disabilities in Poland is focused on their abilities to cooperate with students and school. However, it is equally important to say that the methods used in education should take into consideration some difficulties connected with types of disability. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate the practical application of audiodescription and glottodidactics in the education of people with disabilities and to prove that inclusive education can be effective in public schools and the education of children with disabilities does not have to be confined to special schools. It is also important to look at tools that can be used to make the education easier and more effective for people with disabilities. The article presents possible solutions, and suggests that the level of education of people with disabilities depends on school and teachers, but also crucial matter is to integrate pupils with disabilities in an environment and learn that they are able to cooperate with peers. The success of integration depends on school, teacher, pupils and public perception of people with disabilities, which is still fairly stereotypical. It should be noted, however, that in the media disability is more and more discussed, and modern school is becoming more open to the difference resulting from the disease, which appears to imply that we are on track to create a mature society based on respect, though we still have much work ahead.
