Autenticitate, post-adevăr și populism
Journal Title: Sfera Politicii - Year 2017, Vol 25, Issue 1
Abstract
The article discusses the fake news phenomenon as a social act, analyzed together with what has caused it and what accompanies it: the culture of authenticity, digital communication and its specificity (emphasis on image, not on concepts), post-truth and populism (with its emotional dimension). The premise is that fake news is immanent to the social space, but in the context of globalization and under the development of information technology and social media, it has a greater social impact and carries higher risks for the society.
