Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the art of the classical ballet from the two points of view. The first, the outside view, presents the psychological analysis of the recent scientific research on personality of ballet dancers and success in ballet. The second one, the inner view, presents the analysis of famous ballet dancers’ interviews, connecting the development of dancing abilities, personality in ballet and the way to achieve success in classical dance. The first view is a scientific psychological portrait of ballet dancers, while the second one is a colorful illustration of the first one. The research questions discussed in the text are: How do the ballet stars define the ballet abilities and success in ballet? What are the personality predispositions of success in the ballet group?
