BASIC LEGAL PRINCIPLES OF ORGANIC PRODUCTION

Abstract
The article is devoted to legal regulation in the sphere of the use of biotechnology in agriculture and the rationale of the transition to organic agriculture. The article underlines that the introduction of organic production is a viable alternative to the use of biotechnology. There are the questions about the definition of organic products, the conditions under which the products are considered organic, and its environmental and economic benefits, the methods of marking such products, in this article.
