Best Manufacturing practice adoptions by Indian Industries
Journal Title: International Journal of engineering Research and Applications - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 5
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop a new model to provide guidance and support for Indian manufacturing companies who aim to reach at global level standards both in maintenance and manufacturing processes through continual improvement. Based on this study, a strategic model was developed through conceptual integration of popular process improvement strategies, which are based on ISO, TQM, TPM , Lean Production, six-sigma & TPM. An attempt was made to analyze and address some major limitations of existing models to pave the way of achieving manufacturing excellence.

A review on Types of Roughness Element Used in Solar Air Heater to Enhance Heat Transfer Coefficient
Solar air heaters provides the efficient use of solar energy, which uses the absorber plate to absorb the incoming solar radiations, converting it to thermal energy at its surface, and transferring the thermal energy to...
Risk Assessment of the Structures Built on Reclaimed Lands in Jabalpur M.P.
This paper describes the risk assessment of the civil engineering structures built on reclaimed lands. The problems that are likely to arise wherever major civil engineering structures are being planned on lands which ha...
Segmentation Based Denoising of Color Images using Morphological Operation
The proposed method breaks the color image into its individual color component and then fuzzy filter based canny Edge detection technique is applied. This technique depends on the fuzzy rule-based system using 2 X 2 wind...
Experimental Studies on Strength and Durability Properties of Concrete with Partial Replacement of Bethamcherla Stone Aggregate
Concrete is an extraordinary and key structural material in the human history. Increase in construction activities has lead to an increase in demand for various raw materials in concrete. This lead to researchers to make...
Implementation of shunt active power filter with comparative study of SPWM and SVPWM technique for reduction of THD
This paper presents a comparative study of two different PWM techniques, i.e. the sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) technique, and the space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technique for three phase H bridge...
