Journal Title: Pedagogics, psychology, medical-biological problems of physical training and sports - Year 2009, Vol 0, Issue 12
Abstract
The papers attempts at determining the appropriate properties of the body composition in junior Polish representatives in judo with consideration of weight categories (n=13). The subjects' age fell within the range of 18-19 years (18.3±0.4), while the training experience – 3-9 years (7.0±1.2). On the basis of normalising 20 somatic features and with the use of Perkal's natural indices method, the most characteristic properties of the athletes' body composition were revealed. The somatic profiles as well as internal proportions in three conventional weight categories were determined.
