«BREXIT» AND EUROPEAN UNION: RISKS AND PROBLEMS

Abstract
The article is devoted to the nature of British policy in Europe from the middle of the 20th century till the present days. The article describes features of United Kingdom’s policy in the European Union and highlights the policy of five Prime Ministers of Great Britain: W. Churchill, M. Thatcher, T. Blair, D. Cameron, and T. May. The author gives a definition of the term «Brexit» and defines the specific reasons for the United Kingdom to leave the EU. The author provides examples of different points of view from various speeches and statements of British and European politicians about consequences of Brexit. The author defines main ideas of Prime Minister T. May’s «Plan for Brexit» and presents the definition of «new European policy of Great Britain». Possible consequences, threats and profits of Brexit’s process are described for both political formations in various spheres of public life – political, economic and social ones. The article is available forecasts and recommendations for future policy of Great Britain outside the Eu-ropean Union and that the consequences for Britain of the EU.
