Cardiovascular diseases: Traditional and nontraditional risk factors

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is responsible for more number of deaths worldwide. The muscles and vessels of heart and blood transporting roads become vulnerable portion in most of the CVD. The role of hypertension and cholesterols of different density triglycerides in induction and progression of cardiovascular disease is discussed in this present review. Besides this the potential biomarkers such as homocysteine, fibrinogen, D-dimer and thrombin/anti-thrombin III complex, interleukin and serum amyloid in prognosis is also discussed in this review.
