CASE STUDY IN THE CLASSES OF ENGLISH AS A WAY OF CRITICAL THINKING FORMATION OF FUTURE PHILOLOGISTS

Abstract

Question of critical thinking formation which should provide high level of effective acquirement of the information by the students-philologists, and the development of their corresponding skills is investigated. The methodology of critical thinking development of the students of philological specialties by implementing the case-study of English is proposed. The concept of the use of case-study of English (essence, practical value, purposes) is described. The examples of practical implication of this methodology in the classes of English are given. The effectiveness of the methodology is examined and the outcomes are proved.
