CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING AFTER THE SECOND VATICAN COUNCIL

Abstract
The article deals with the interpretation of the social doctrine of the Catholic Church after Vatican II. Over the last hundred years the Church proclaims, in the words of Pope Leo XIII, «own a word» on public life. Continuing to interpret the legacy of Catholic social doctrine, Pope John Paul II issued three outstanding encyclicals. They largely represent the main stages of the development of Catholic thought in this area. In recent years, many bishops from around the world have contributed to a better understanding of the social doctrine of the Church. His contribution was also made and a large number of scientists from all over the world.
