Challenges of Elementary English Teachers in Online Instruction

Abstract
This study determined the different challenges of Elementary English teachers in online instruction at Cotabato City Central Pilot School. Thus, this study employed a qualitative design with an in-depth interview to determine the challenges of elementary English teachers in online instruction. The study's conclusions are based on the information obtained and displayed, and they are as follows. The challenges of elementary English teachers in online English instruction in terms of instructions are weak internet connection during the giving of instruction, lack of gadgets among the learners and other ICT materials in facilitating the learners need. The challenges of elementary English teachers in online English instruction in terms of assessment are the following; unavailability of devices, lack of knowledge on how to use the online platform, insufficiency of knowledge of the parents to assist the learners. Moreover, The suggested solutions to overcome the challenges in online English instructions in terms of instruction is the following; learners should be closely monitored during the online class.
