Church Slavonic in Modern Liturgy, or Remembering “Trilingual Heresy”

Abstract
The present article attempts to disprove two popular myths: A myth about incomprehensibility of Modern Church Slavonic to believers in comparison with Old Church Slavonic and a myth about presumably wicked motivations of those who object to translating sacred texts into vernacular.
