Circuit cooperation of endoscopic trans-ethmosphenoid optic canal decompression
Journal Title: Eye Science (Yanke Xuebao) - Year 2020, Vol 35, Issue 2
Abstract
[Objective:] To summarize the experience of circuit cooperation in endoscopic trans-ethmosphenoid optic canal decompression (ETOCD). [Methods:] In this study, 23 patients with traumatic optic neuropathy (TON) undergoing ETOCD from June to September 2019 were recruited. Pre-operative visual acuity (VA) and post-operative VA were analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of ETOCD surgery and nursing skills. [Results:] The effective rate was 73.9% in 23 patients at 1 month after ETOCD surgery, and no serious complications occurred. [Conclusion:] The key to ensure the successful operation is adequate preoperative preparation, accurate circuit cooperation, strict performance according to nursing standards, proper body position of patients and prevention of complications.
