Citizen as a subject of prevention of crimes, which commits in public places

Abstract
The scientific paper is devoted to the individual form of activity in the sphere of.prevention of crimes, which commits in public places..The analyses of opportunities of everyone concerned citizen to take part in the.preventive activity completes already-existing criminological researches in this sphere..The goal if the paper is to research lines of citizens’ activity in prevention of crimes,.which commits in public places, and possibilities of its practical realization..The author underlined, that unlike a person’s participation in the social.organizations of crime prevention, the individual forms of such activity hasn’t been.regulated by a unified law until now. It is a right, not a duty of a person..Everyone anytime can become a victim of crimes, which commits in public places..Public places are places, which are using by people for common work, rest, movement,.carrying out of measures etc. Based on the analyses of the current legislation of Ukraine.the author distinguished four lines of citizens’ activity in the sphere of prevention of.crimes, which commits in public places: 1) exercise of a civic duty of crime prevention;.2) confidential cooperation with law-enforcement agencies on the voluntary bases;.3) active public cooperation with police; 4) passive assistance to policemen during the.discharging of their duties..As a result of this scientific research the author concluded, that nowadays in.Ukraine almost everything necessary is provided for realization of the counter-criminal.potential of citizens. Every representative of the public can to take part in crime.prevention, including prevention of crimes, which commits in public places. But some.aspects of such social activity haven’t been regulated by the national legislation until.now.
